Accepted manuscripts must be submitted with works of art (figures and photographs) in a high-definition format (≥300 dpi). Favorite file formats are TIFF and EPS (JPG and BMP are low-resolution). Don`t send files downloaded from the Internet These are low resolution and do not reproduce well. We cannot use graphics built into PowerPoint, Microsoft Word or Excel files. Download the original tables and images as separate files. For diagrams, data points must be provided as a separate Microsoft Word text file. Photos on which the patient may have been recognized must be accompanied by a statement signed by the dementia patient or surgeon, which authorizes the publication of the photo for educational purposes. If no authorization is obtained, the photo is omitted or cropped to ensure that the patient`s identity is not disclosed. Include a signed/shared consent by the owner of a photo or the artist if that person is not the author. Concurrent Interest Statement All authors must disclose all financial and personal relationships with other individuals or organizations that may unduly influence their (biased) work. For example, potential conflicts of interest include employment, consulting firms, stock ownership, fees, testimony from paid experts, patent/registration applications and grants, or any other financing.

Authors should use this tool to create a statement for competing interests and send files at the attached stage into the transmission system. Note: Do not convert the .docx model into another type of file. Authors` signatures are not required. This statement is published in the article if accepted. Reader Comments The author presenting a “letter” should present the Editor with a cover letter explaining why the letter should be published. The letter (as well as references) should be doubly distributed and, with a few exceptions, limited to 2 pages. A title for the letter must be listed at the top of the page. There is no need to make the front page. At the end of the letter must be indicated the full name, the highest degree of the author and the city and state (or country, if outside the United States), followed by the filing date.

The author`s institution should not be involved. A letter about an article in the Journal must be received (by authors in the United States) within 2 months of the article being published. The author should include a statement in the manuscript that informed consent was obtained for experiments on human subjects.
